How can I be healthy if I hate it?

I looked in the mirror last night and im not surprisingly happy with the outcome. Everyone seems to be trying to better themselves and Adam over at adamriggins.com got me to thinking about my own well being. Well a diet would be nice, but with my small palette this may be a difficult step to getting healthier.

Just an example, today at work we decided to order deli sandwiches from a local shop called jimmyjohns. We all got sandwiches and I ordered my usual “slim” which is just a slab or meat and cheese between buns. It got here “freaky fast” and when I took a bite into the sandwich I wanted to gag.

You see I am one of those small numbers of people who absolutely hate greens. The thought of them makes me sick, tasting them seems to be worse than something on fear factor. I immediately started disassembling the sandwich and removing all the gross contents. I started to eat the mangled sandwich, sick to my stomach that this horrible crap was once on in it. The reminisce lingered but I managed to finish it.

I still feel sick, and this is irrational.. was I traumatized away from vegetables?

I want to eat healthier but I am finding it hard to do.
