Well my 21″ LCD died awhile ago but my CRT decided to start turning yellow for no reason and I guess it was time to get some matching equipment. So I went on ebay and got myself another of my 24″ monitors. No dead pixels or anything and it was even recertified (refurb)! The weird thing is that this was an older model than what I had, but it included every input you could think of. My new one I got from best buy has DVI, VGA and HDMI. This new one has HDMI, DVI, VGA, S-Video, Component and Composite and it even has a speaker inside of it somewhere (it makes noise when I go through the menu)
I love this monitor if you havent seen them in action, go to your local store and check them out. Seriously the color and brightness is uncompromising. Now that I have two, I feel like I’m drowning in pixels.
Here’s a short vid of the setup. Yes there’s 4 monitors connected to this machine through 3 graphics cards. I have 2 24″ normal monitors, a 47″ 1080 for previewing renders. and a 110″ projection system for old school gaming.. Mario Kart anyone?
If you noticed the start bar across both monitors.. thats thanks to http://www.mediachance.com/free/multimon.htm ITS FREE
EDIT: I ordered sound bars for the monitors and they came.. the problem was that they were for the old models and I couldnt find any for the new models.. I took matters into my own hands and grinded the metal tabs off the speaker bars and glued them on with epoxy. I made a huge mess initially because I bought gorilla glue.. that stuff expands and turns white, and now its all over the sound bar… BLAH. Its ok, the sound bars are usually 100 a piece and I got them for 60 for 2 including shipping. A little black paint will hide the glue haha.
Glueing 100 dollar speakers to a 400 dollar monitor, twice is a horrible idea… holy crap, I have a grand in monitors for my pc?
