Nice work on the sanding and painting. I did a similar thing on my bike stands a few weeks ago.
Did you use a high temp paint on that?

unfortunatly you will need a higher temp paint than that. Try Krylon 1000F paint. http://www.globalindustrial.com/g/maintenance/paint/aerosol/krylon-high-heat-paints?infoParam.campaignId=T9A&gclid=CPKmxsDmzKACFV455wodrEjw1A

Sand the old paint off and try this paint. It is designed for BBQ grills so it will not bubble.

I used a drill bit attachment sort of like this one: http://www.amazon.com/DIAMETER-FLAP-SAND-WHEEL-SHANK/dp/B001EOJ0PM

Then I sanded down with 800 then 1000 then painted it with high temp black paint (commonly called grill spray paint)

Yep, high temp flat black. About 3 coats and dried between them. It looks alot better. I cant wait to take it out to taylorville and never leave 2nd gear like I did when I first got my street bike.
