Entrecard Gaming Part 2

On September 16, 2008, in Projects / DIY, Rants, by KrAzE

Well at work I cant surf alot of websites due to the lovely websense firewall. Granted I used to bypass it easily (IT fixed that lmao) and I really don’t want to take the time to tunnel. WOW im ranting again… Anyway, back on topic..

I get home to find a facebook message from a newly created account with no information on it. They want to know how I gamed the system and if they would release how I did it to everyone. The fact that is was simple scares me. The fact that people want to game the system bothers me even more. People like you are ruining the who economy of the thing, that’s what I was trying to get across. Instead of trying to cheat, Tell the entrecard admins that you are concerned. Seriously, that Ben guy replies to all my posts.. and usually same or the next day…

I chose entrecard because it was relatively small. Small communities get you more contact and more personalization. If I was looking for monetized clicks I wouldn’t have chose entrecard, I just would have chosen some horrible ad exchange. The whole point of entrecard is to expose you to people with similar interests. If you really need points, hire someone to do it for you, or BUY EC POINTS. They are actually really cheap.

As always, automation will never get you as far as personalized comments will. If you want readers, read others blogs, become friends with them, write posts related to their posts… Cross traffic always wins.

I know how to get the hits, but I simply don’t have the time to do it. If you don’t have the time to do it either, then blogging really isn’t for you. Its a two way street people. So far I have only subscribed to 4 blogs, and 2 of them I actually read. Whats funny about this, is the 2 I actually read and comment, THEY READ MY BLOG TOO AND COMMENT. Amazing concept.

BTW: those two are: dube.wordpress.com (found from digg post about best lost moments) and adamriggins.com (his comments perked my curiosity and I ended up liking his writing).

As you can see, I pooled from a very small sample size, and if I were to take the time, I could have alot more readers.

Here are some simple ways of getting traffic. They all take work:

  1. Read others blogs, and comment.
  2. Participation in forums, helping others, not just spamming your crap.
  3. Write posts often with amazing content. (I fail at this, but im not out for a following)

Easy.
