So I get bored a lot at work, and I get to thinking about really random things. What if the world became lawless from something, pick your poison, nuke, virus, zombies whatever… what would you do for a “living?”
Obviously everyday jobs went out the window and its survival of the fittest. Your normal 9 to 5 world is gone. You do what you have to do to survive and keep yourself fed and safe. Now what would you find your biggest talent be?
I think my strongest suit in this situation would be a driver… Sounds simple right? I love cars, and I feel more comfortable in one than I do on my own two feet. Naturally I think I could fall into the driver position.
Instances were someone like this would be commonplace. At this point people are starting to build small communities, clans of sorts. Now these clans are competing and simply moving food from one place to another could be difficult and dangerous.
I feel it would be a fun experience. Did anyone watch Doomsday? I know it was a horrible movie, but it had some really good scenes. One that relates to this would be the car scene… I loved it. She avoided and outsmarted other people in vehicles… I want that!
So what about you? What would you find yourself doing in a situation like this? I am really looking for comments here, I want this to be more like a forum discussion!
Maybe because of my positive attitude, but I would probably be the guy offering speeches of hope to people who are scared to death. For example, if there was a zombie takeover, it would be a pretty grim outlook. I would be trying to keep people from giving up hope.
Hm… I honestly don’t know. I’d probably go to Australia, since the chance of them being infected by anything is zero to none.
Just wing it and try to fly… how hard can it be. Pull throttle up, check.
If that fails, I’d probably just lock myself in Wal-Mart and live off of whatever was in there.
I’d be a look-out. I’d be too tense to relax, so I’d sit in some high spot and watch out for rival clans and whatnot.
@Adam riggins When you said this you made me think of the crazy priest from the Halflife series that called all of the zombies his children because they were once part of his church. That would be good, but how would you survive rations wise? Would you still join a clan in order to do so or rest on the good hope of the people?
@Queue Getting out of the hot zone would most likely be my first reaction too. But I think it might be a bit fun to have alittle chaos in the world. Sure I would miss my cell phone and internet and most likely my bed, but A free life would be a great change.
Yea everyone would be making shelters in the large stores, but those who did that would also be the highest targets because everyone needs supplies. I think I would settle for a unknown place and leave when I needed rations.

You got me thinking about “The Mist,” a Stephen King movie. One character was this crazy woman going on and on, an extremist fundamentalist that was scaring the crap out of everyone, until finally someone shot her. If I were ever to live out my dark shadow side, I think I’d be the one to pull that trigger. Not that I ever let that shadow side out every…
I’ll just keep searching for food and have a good sleep. I haven’t watched doomsday. It is there downloaded but no time to watch. I guess I’ll be watching it on sunday.
And “The Mist” is a fantastic film. A must watch.
Check your SK2 plugin. It is giving some errors.
@Theresa I hated that lady. She tried and pushed and pushed the people into thinking her way. She was meant to be annoying however, and thats not really that fair.
@Guttu Can you give me specifics on the errors? When did they occur? Unfortunatly the SK2 Plugin is no longer maintained, I may have to look for an alternative.
