I picked up an HTC Evo friday. 4.3″ HD screen, 1ghz snapdragon processor, thin, light, and Android powered.

Took a few hours to knock out a design for a website I am wanting to do business with. They are custom making LED lights for the bike I have.. the wait list is huge.. and I kind of want one of the lights..

At $200 I thought I would try and trade services for services.. suprisingly he agreed. I noticed the website he had needed a bit of css managment. I offered to develop a website in a CMS however it turned out they were developing one with one of his web developers.. I offered to help out as much as I could. While I wait to find out what he needs done.. I developed this for them in my spare time…

Its not bad for two hours. Personally I would like to design more graphic entensive websites.. but Im going to need to take pictures and get some free time. haha.

I dont have a webcam on my main pc, but I wanted to try it out myself. Instead of just logging on and hoping for the best, I thought it would be fun to just take the persons webcam I am looking at and adding a nice festive background.

So I decided last sunday that adding a set of smilies to a forum would be a good idea. I have always sort of been a minimalist when it came to electronics but I know others arent so I decided to add them.

When I got to the part of the plugins page where it wanted to upload the files via ftp via localhost I thought nothing of it.

When I put the password in, something went wrong… I got a 500 internal misconfiguration error. I thought maybe it was just sending too many commands and I just needed to wait a few mins and refresh.. oh no..

the ftp  decided to change the permission on a folder I dont know which one, but it causes all php files on all of my domains to go down.  I ended up having to use a previous backup to restore the files and then use a current backup to push the new data.  It was crazy.

Moral of the story, backup before you do ANYTHING, no matter how small. (even when I say that, I didnt backup before doing the automatic wordpress updates..they usually do pretty good.)

I am finally back from MML8. In case you didn’t know (most of you) MML8 is a lanparty. A lanparty is a place for computer gamers to get together and play in tournaments and meet others.

I went with a group of 6 and myself. We stayed in a convention center for 4 days and a shady hotel during the day since the gaming and stuff was mostly at night.

The “leeching” game was the most popular there.. everyone was sharing full movies, tv series and other things for others to steal…bad pirates.

We also played in tournaments…most we didnt wake up early enough to participate in. We even won a tournament..Dodge ball to be exact. I walked away with ddr3 ram that I cant use, since My personal computer doesnt support it (its too new.) I am going to sell it for $150 on ebay, so it payed for the trip.

Got some gaming done, and most importantly played destination unknown on my projector a bunch of times…If you dont know what destination unknown is….
