We all have them; site that you used to always visit but now find yourself never going to them again.
Why did I go to it?
This one used to house a huge collection of full documentaries as well as high quality music video’s and everything else under the sun.
Why I dont anymore?
The site shut it down. Apparently they couldnt handle the bandwidth. Funny how I never seen a slowdown or a blank screen once while going to the site. More commonly they shut it down to avoid copyright issues.
Why did I go to it?
This one was simple. I had a need to see funny video’s and they housed them all. EbaumsWorld had video’s, images, soundboards, you name something funny, it had it.
Why I dont anymore?
Nothing original was worth a damn from that site. Ebaum started ripping his headline funnies from other peoples sites instead of relying on his submissions. This drove out traffic from other sites that had the original content. It frustrated me how he used such shady tactics to drive traffic. Ripping off website originals for his own site is pretty lame.
Why did I go to it?
Back in highschool candystand was the best. You go spend a few hours in the library playing a shockwave version of mini golf and not do anything productive.
Why I dont anymore?
I have a real computer, with real games. Candystand doesnt appeal to me anymore because if I am bored, I simply play something real. Now that I am not in highschool anymore I dont have to pretend to be productive.
Why did I go to it?
Before videogames had ingame browsers, it was up to us to find the ip’s of people hosting game servers. Gamespy arcade was perfect for this. They even had a nice application that let you use voicechat and play in chatrooms. Eventually they even started making there own minigames for the less hardcore gamer.
Why I dont anymore?
Simple. All games that have multiplayer have their own ingame browser. Granted most still use gamespy technology, they dont require a website or seperate software to launch a game. My new gamespy equivalent would have to be steam. With its many features and stable titles, I dont think I will be moving away from it any time soon.
Why did I go to it?
The source for funny flash animations and games. Everyone who created flash games went to this site.
Why I dont anymore?
I could care less. The site is rarely updated anymore, and most of the stuff is complete junk.
Why did I go to it?
More funny flash things. Thankfully flash was new, easy, and allowed common people to create some completely hilarious stuff.
Why I dont anymore?
When things get popular, often the quality suffers.
Why did I go to it?
YOU THE MAN NOW DOG was hilarious. It sported a feater that allowed anyone to upload a single image as well as a single song. This created some hilarious internet mimes.
Why I dont anymore?
Once again, it got popular and everyone, including the unfunny started uploading things. You can go on the site right now and try and find something funny, instead you will find the daily and weekly favorites completely unfunny.
Why did I go to it?
The best search site at the time.
Why I dont anymore?
Google? Need I say more?
I am sure there are plenty more, but I just cant think of them.

As alot of you may have realized about a month ago, 1and1.com updated a few things. Well for us with a wordpress plugin named WPG2, it completely destroyed it. You try and visit the site containing your gallery and you would get a nice 500 error instead of your nicely created gallery.
Well finally the folks over at the gallery site found a solution.
Simply FTP into your website, find the .htaccess file, and add the following lines (you can open this file in wordpad for formatting):
AddType x-mapp-php5 .php
AddHandler x-mapp-php5 .php
Reupload and like magic, your gallery will work again.
It must have something to do with 1and1 using php4 as the default now instead of php5. Reguardless, it works again and I am happy.
You can find the forum discussion here: http://gallery.menalto.com/node/75506

Sometimes helping somone who is a lower level then you in an MMO is nice. I have never seen somone so excited as this person:

I added a few updates to the site if you haven’t already noticed.
First is that my google account is not being used on this site. The great thing about this is that I never expected it to work out the way it did. A long time ago I signed up for a google adsense account during the time they set up. I was helping support them and I thought it would be a good idea to bring revenu into my site. All went well and for a small site like www.teamxw.com we were doing great. I was bringing in about 200 dollars about every 3 months and that money was being used to support the communities server fees.
Well one day googles automated bot was searching our site and noticed there was a thread in the forum with the word “p u s s i e s” on it. Well it turned out the entire posts purpose was to post pictures of lolcats.. if you dont know what a lolcat is, your under a huge e-rock.

Anyway, the bot that checks that peoples websites are doing the right thing and not making google look bad said HEEEEY WAIT A MINUTE and reported us to their abuse headquarters. The bot couldnt be more wrong.. see the actual thread here: http://teamxw.com/forum/YaBB.cgi?board=stuff;action=display;num=1159406557
I appealed the decision twice trying to figure out why they wouldn’t even revoke such a stupid violation.
Eventually I took google adsense off that site and gave up. Two years later, we jump to the present. As a joke, I send another appeal. I basically tell them that I would love it if they removed my suspension, but I didn’t care if they did or not, because I was just going to recreate an account anyway.
Heres the exact thing:
I am not appealing a invalid click appeal. At the beginning of adsense your bot detected a post on our forums titled “p-ssy pics” which a user started. This post only contained pictures of cats often referred to as “lolcats.”
The advertisements were removed from the forums section of that site and I had appealed the decision.
A few years have gone by now, and the adsense have been removed from that site as it is no longer active.
I would however like to use my same adsense account for a few project domains that I own in the future instead of creating a new account.
I ask that you simply save us the time and reinstate my current account so that I can use the same account for the upcoming projects.
Thank you for your time.
Well, literally 20 minutes later I dont get a reply, but I notice the ads that I am messing with have started working. I go to login to my adsense account to only notice it has been reset? Without an email and without removing the suspension, the person who read my email simply just resets my account. Hilarious to me.
Apparently being nice the first two times didnt work. The “hey I dont give a shit, dont be a dick though” approach did work.
Long story short, the website has advertisements on it.
Also check the link called KrAzEtv above. Eventually I will be manually picking all the shows on it, and you can watch the stuff I feel is worth watching. For now however, its just random shit.
K, back to talking to the love of my life. P.S. if you want her nudes, send me an email and 10 bucks to my paypal.

I love myspace, for social communication, but sometimes you just want to catch the person your talking to on fire and push them in-front of a bus all in one single motion.
I now present you with, 10 things I hate about myspace users.
Though I haven’t seen this one in awhile, we all know what I’m talking about. That person who puts a blog out their telling you to add her cool kick ass friend because you should. No other reasons at all.
Now what do I hate most about this? Well lets see I dont know that person, and why on earth cant they add me if they are so fucking interested? Oh they aren’t are they. Once I add the piece they will never talk to you. Instead they will post bulletins constantly reminding you to add other peoples friends, or how some kid got their order wrong at the local McFattyFatFats.
Besides from being completely useless, these little bonuses we get allow our web browsers to go to a crawl, especially if your viewer is on a laptop with low amounts of ram. I hope it looks cool though.
Come on, your high resolution image doesn’t fit on my screen, and I have DUAL SCREENS both at high resolutions. Your page is the equivalent of 3 wide-screen monitors. I really don’t think you are that stupid that you cant open your photo in paint and edit resize it. Hell windows has a nice feature called batch image re-sizer. Its a power tool, look it up.
Uhm… is your family too poor to afford speakers or did you think it would be cool to mix the two songs live on your webpage? You have a song loaded in the default myspace player (horrible idea myspace) and you decided to add another one from a pimpmyspace website? And to top it off they are both playing at the exact same time. I am listening to my own music thank you. If you have music on your page (we all do) then I would reccomend you add the music player to the top fold of your site so others can stop it as soon as your page loads.
Yes, its a brilliant idea to have a neon orange background with bright yellow text. I don’t need my retina’s anyway. Come on look up color wheel in google image search. The colors on opposite sides of the wheel are the colors you should use.
Wow this ones hilarious. If I have to highlight your text to read it, because some of the background is black and so is your text I deserve to stab you in the throat with a blunt object. I know you cant see it, so what made you think it was a good idea?
I know you dont want e-perverts to stalk your webpage, but its a social website for Christ’s sake. If you dont want that type of people, then dont put your personal information on a website. If that’s too hard for you, dont register. The whole point of a social network, is to expand your social networks. Not to talk to your friends from school about that oh so hawt kid sitting next to you. Fuck off.
Thank god the classic view doesnt have status updates. I could give a flying shit that you feel curious that day, or adventurous. Is their really any positive social reason to care about someones feelings at that very important? If your sad, go slit your wrists and blog about your keyboard not working from an obscene amount of blood.
I know you read it, and it had a question in it. That means I expect an answer. The fact you havent answered tells me you don’t care, and I delete you. Its not like im going to miss you.
I bet you have done at least one of these things. Hell, I am even at blame for putting music on my myspace. If you are one of the few who have managed not to do this, and you feel you would like to add me to your social network, please feel free to send me a message at: http://www.myspace.com/allthegoodnamesareused
If you just send me a invite to be your friend with no message expect not to have an additional friend.

I go over a few of the basics of playing in a scrimmage atmosphere for counter-strike 1.6
The video is 18 minutes long, so unless your serious, you might want to avoid this one.
Just hit play. The video is double sized and windows media, so I recommend IE and double clicking full screen to watch!
If you would prefure extremely high resolution, I recommend you get my demo file, located at www.teamxw.com/downloads/scrim/practice1.dem Save the file to your steam/steamapps/loginname/counter-strike/cstrike folder. Once you do that, open cs, and type play practice1.dem and the video will start.
Edit: Coming soon, apparently youtube is a bitch and only allows 10 min video’s.

Many of us who still prefere myspace social networking over facebook for customization reasons may find this valuable.
In order to remove almost all bots from ever talking to you all you have to do is visit a simple area in your account settings.
If you migrate over to the Account Settings button at the top left of the page and click the spam section, you will find all sorts of ways to keep bots away from you.
Some of the best settings include:
These two options alone will stop bots for the most part from Sending you messages and being added. This should in no way change anything for your current friends either! Hope it helps!

So I’ve always thought that people automatically knew what I thought was common sense regarding viruses, spy-ware and other nasties that lurk on the internets. Not so long ago a group of my friends online all contracted the same virus because they all fell for the exact same thing. I thought at that time it would be wise to place a little informational post on their forums about what not to do when computing and some safer practices that would be good.
First off I want to take the time to get some definitions out their for everyone who is completely oblivious. I am not going to take the time to wikipedia these things, you can do that yourself. I am going to give you my interpretation of each.
Virus: Anything you may install can contain a virus.. a virus would have to be something you install that changes something on your computer without your permission or does something you don’t want it to, or may not even know it is doing it.
Key-logger: This one is rare now, but it records everything you type and saves and sends to someone who infected your computer. This can get even more deadly because key-loggers also might come with back-doors.
Backdoor: Allows a individual to gain access to your computer through a insecurity in your computer. This can range from simply looking at your files to something as complex as being able to see your entire screen and controlling your computer.
Trojan: Similar to the Trojan horse, it may appear to be something else until you least expect it. Sometimes software can contain a virus inside and those two items together would create a Trojan.
Spy-ware: Annoying pop-up ads, software that collects data about what you do online, things that pop up on your screen reminding you to buy their product, anything that’s generally annoying and trying to sell you something.
Malware: Free software often contains malware. In order for the guy who made the neat flip-booking software you wanted to make money, he contracts a company like yahoo (sorry yahoo I’m picking on you). Yahoo then pays him for every person who installs his software in exchange for having his installer also include the yahoo toolbar onto your computer. How many of you have an ask.com toolbar or a yahoo.com toolbar? That stuff is annoying.
“Hacker”: Technically a hacker is someone who works for a company to find back-doors and vulnerabilities.. but since the mainstream got a hold of this word, it has become something all together negative. A hacker (cracker) is someone who is wanting to get into your computer to harvest information or steal your vital information. This can be email logins, other website logins, cookies that contain personal information, etc.
Spam: You should all know what this is.. its in your email account all the time. Annoying ads can be considered spam as well.
Phishing: This is when a website is hosted online that looks like another website. I see tons of people fall for this one. They go to their Myspace, get a message saying they can “track who visits their profile” and they go to the link. The link looks exactly like Myspace, but requires them to login again. The user puts in their myspace information because, hey, it looks like myspace doesnt it? A few days later, their myspace account is sending comments to everyone on their buddy list to go to that same website and fall for the exact same trick. This then multiplies just like a virus and everyone’s doing it.
So now the question is, how do I prevent this stuff from happening to me?!
Well I recently reformatted windows (not related), and had to start doing the exact same things over again to proect myself from the evils of the Internet.
First step after installing the operating system and drivers was to get myself an anti-virus. Yes this is an important one. I am cheap, and im sure many of you are as well and I used a free antivirus. If you are in the same boat, I would have to recommend avg free edition, which can be found at http://free.grisoft.com. This anti-virus checks everything that you are doing, and has a shedualer for daily full scans. You may have to set the scheduled time a bit differently because your computer may not be on, or you may be on it and may not want it using your computers resources.

I have been always wanting to do some video editing, and hopefully this week I can actually start working on some things to post on this site. Springbreak is here and the only thing I can think to do (besides seeing somone who is far away) is to work on some artistic things.
If you already havent noticed, I have started building a tag cloud at the top right of the page… funny seems to be the dominant one, but hopefully I can make the dominant ones art and video.
For now im going to paste a few youtube videos I already have uploaded. My user account on youtube is IamKrAzE as well so please subscribe to me.
For now, heres my very first video project.

Sooo I took the time today to develop a theme. I have had one in my mind for some time now. I would have to admit though, that this isn’t what I originally imagined. The colors I chose previously were a bit to bland for my taste. The other major problem I had was keeping a background image that was high res but not extremely high in file size.
The design aspect I was going for was something that reminded me of my notebooks from school. I often doodle in the margins with random shapes, patterns and wildlife styles. I wanted to be able to convey that in the website and I feel I have done that, but I am not completely happy with it.
As well as the new background theme, I have tweaked a few other design aspects. I didnt change much of the layout, because I actually am very happy with how that turned out. Notable changes however are the button at the very top. They are much smaller now… thank god. They also change color when you hover over them.
The logo’s are no longer transparent, and should now give brighter colors. The logo’s themselves have been changed. Hope you like the 3 I have. My free time I will be making new ones to add to the rotation.
The Gallery, now this was a tough one. I wanted to keep my site professional, but in the end its just not me. Now if you visit the gallery you will see two new albums at the bottom. We have the Junk Drawer, which is a collection of pictures I want on my domain… this lets other see them, and eliminates my use of a “temp” folder. The other is photographs…that one is pretty self explanatory.
That pretty much sum’s up my design work.
Now the question to be asked is: What will be on this site?
I am hoping to put random things I find that are really worth it on here but more importantly, I want to add original projects I have as well as projects in the works. Anything that I am currently interested I will try my best to put up here. For instance any photoshop work I may be doing, any Video Games I play I may review here, Movies that I watched, Movies that I am making… anything really relating to my life.
If you watch the categories on the right grow over time, you will get a feel for what I have to offer.
Until then, please leave me a comment, and feel free to comment any of my pictures.
I hope you know math!
